Hemos trabajado en Educación Plástica, Visual y Audiovisual con un método innovador para aprender a dibujar y emplear el lado derecho del cerebro, que es el creativo. El método está fundamentado en el libro de Betty Edwards: “Aprender a dibujar con el lado derecho del cerebro”.
Dicho libro viene a explicar que en todas las áreas de la vida y la educación empleamos el hemisferio izquierdo del cerebro, que es el que se ocupa del pensamiento matemático, lógico, memorístico, etc. Y tenemos arrinconado, en el banquillo de los suplentes, al derecho que, como hemos señalado, es el creativo, el intuitivo y en el que reside la imaginación.
Desde el área de Plástica debemos reivindicar a que salga al campo de juego el hemisferio derecho, que está minusvalorado, y es tan importante para que nuestros alumnos crezcan y desarrollen su parte creativa.
Podemos aprender a dibujar, porque es un lenguaje, una forma de comunicación, al igual que hemos aprendido a escribir. Pueden aprender a dibujar todos nuestros alumnos, no sólo los que tienen talento. Y eso es lo que hemos demostrado en los dibujos que han hecho durante la primera evaluación.
El primer ejercicio consistió en emplear sólo la línea como uno de los elementos básicos de la expresión plástica.
No sólo soy profesor sino también pintor, y como artista mi deber es educar en la sensibilidad. Además de saber hacer y saber ver el lenguaje gráfico o plástico, que básicamente son los contenidos que obliga la ley a impartir.
